How to access global village lesson files.
Here is your first English mini-lesson — a short tour of gv_files web facility. It lets you download all lesson documents — handouts, stories, vocabulary lists, homework, exercises, tests, even pictures and mp3s, which your teacher has put on the global village server to share with you.
So your name is Wiktoria Marciniak and you are a global village student. Wiktoria, open your favourite internet browser. Go to www.gv.pl.
Click gv_files link in the sidebar.
You will see the login window. The entries are case sensitive and should be typed in lowercase.
If some student’s name has typically Polish characters in it, please type their reduced international versions — e.g. glabczynski rather than głąbczyński.
In the Login field enter your first name’s initial and your surname as one word.
In the Password field enter the password you once gave your teacher.
Hit Login button.
The FileVault window will open and you will see your name and the name of your group with the list of lessons to which individual files belong.
Now you can download any files your teacher has left there for you.
They are largely in PDF format so you need Adobe Reader to view and print them.
Don’t forget to logout. Click Logout in the right upper corner of the screen.
