We don’t know what we miss when we miss the little things.

I think that evening didn’t belong to the real world.
It was more like a fairytale.
Only malicious pull of the gravity, wanting us back on the solid ground, reminded that it wasn’t. However, we happily ignored the fact and still hung between the earth and the sky, almost touching the white tree tops. We were just like the snow we watched – quietly fiddling with the space, because everything what could be said then would sound absurd. Every word would turn into a white haze eventually, and disappear as quickly as it was spoken, so was its meaning.
In silence, we watched deep whiteness under our feet, next to us and behind our backs. I couldn’t see the stars that night, and I guess you didn’t care for them – you could see their substitute landing softly on our warm coats, gloves, skis, hair, faces; or shooting past. Neither of us made a wish then; neither of us had something to wish for.
We’ve realized that if the universe was about to collapse and then expand and create everything that exists now, we would willingly repeat our every action, every mistake just to make sure it would lead us to this fragile and irrelevant moment.

Just look outside. It is everywhere. My windows on the roof are covered with it and the light does not come into my room. You are not able to see any car outside, but it does not mean that they are not there. Roads and footpaths are slippery and dangerous. What do we need the snow for?

Snow raises many different opinions all around the world. There are people who like it. I do not. Since I have been older the white fluff only makes me angry. My life is more difficult and it does not encourage me to get out of my warm house. There is no possibility to see anything through my windows. If I try to knock the snow down from the roof, it comes into my room. There is so much of it on the streets, that my way to school takes twice as long as usual. The cleaning of my car is also annoying. The falling snow does not make me happy anymore.
However, it used to be different when I was younger. I was waiting for snow the whole autumn. When it finally came I liked to spend all my spare time outside. I used to get back home wet and tired, but happy. Now it is difficult to make me leave my house. I cannot even see a reason for such a change in my mind. I think I just became a lazy old man.

The snow can look really beautiful. It can give a lot of fun. When it comes again after a break, I start to like it for a moment. Unfortunately, after a few days I have enough of sliding, cold, wet and of this fluff coming everywhere. I am looking forward to see the spring again.

White, fluffy, sparkling, creaky and sometimes cold. It annoys chilly people and brings a smile on the faces of those, who are enthusiasts of winter. Snow.
Some say it is a curse: snow – covered, icy roads, traffic jams, car accidents, snowy pavements and connected with it injuries. People are angry, because snow means hard frost and then awful thaws. Who likes it? No one, but let’s look at it from the other hand. For sure there are many disadvantages of winter, but despite of them, this season can be really beautiful. Snowy landscape is one of the most romantic picture that people can enjoy. Snow – sprinkled trees, small snowflakes falling down from the sky, empurpled cheeks and this funny steam getting out from our mouths while breathing, these things makes winter and snow so special.
When I was younger I used to spend big part of each winter day outdoors. Low temperature had never prevented me from throwing snowballs, making snowman or sleighing. Childrens’ reality is much simpler than the reality of older people. I noticed that I started to complain about how cold it is now or how many difficulties does the snow make while getting around the city. But even when once again the snow reaches my knees and I have whole legs covered by it, I think “who knows how long we will have to wait for the next winter?” and I continue tearing through the snowdrifts with a wide, sometimes frozen smile.
