T – I pattern again
Hello fatfish_group. I enjoyed yesterday’s lesson with your group. You were brilliant generating ideas, although when discussing the problem we only touched the tip of the iceberg. So try and continue here. Think of arguments (general topics) and supporting ideas (illustrating examples) you could include in your answer to this question:
The Internet has become an essential part of modern life. However, with its advantages and benefits come also disadvantages and dangers. Discuss.
Provide only one positive and one negative point. You can of course come up with the same ideas as your your friends, but try to vary the words.
The internet is a wonderful form of communication where people can express themselves and a great source of information. At the touch of a button we can upload our movies, send posts to internet blogs or chat with our friends. On news sites such as BBC without turning on our TV we can read the latest events , information and add our opinion about the topics. Although there are some disadvantages which relates to the internet. The thing that most of the people don’t like is waiting for buffering internet videos which are optimized to high internet broadbands or waiting till the site will fully appear on our screen.
I agree with Maceek. The internet is great invention of XXI century. Maybe even the best one;). It helps people who for various reasons can’t go out, to contact and communicate with the whole world. Now we can easily talk to cousins from USA or even make friends with Chineese or Argentinian people without visiting those countries. Is it facinating, isn’t it?
And the Internet is blessing to students. Now I can find something in 4 minutes instead of checking it up in a lot of ‘fat’ books;) and wasting time. But nothing isn’t so great. The Internet has some disadventages too. For instance we talk less face to face, since someone invented gadu-gadu.
One more is that people start to buy less CDs and movies when they can download them.
I can subscribe to the opinion that the Internet is one of the most important inventions of our century. We got used to it and I think that the majority of people in whole world cannot imagine life without their computers and – of course – the Internet. It is the main source of informations nowadays – because it’s fast and we can in simple way find what we’re looking for.
But – obviously – there are not only benefits of using the Internet. It can be addictive and it causes eye problems ;) so remember – be careful and never use computer for more than one hour – then have a 15 minutes break ;)
aah, the Internet, everybody says it is so wondelrful, irreplacable, powerful,etc… but just today at my course in Totnes we had a debate about the most useful inventions of mankind, the Internet among them, and it turned out that flushing toilet is the most idispensible invention of all times :)
respect the bright minds, the simpler the better
Flushing toilet? You’re right – it’s in fact really indispensable and one of most important thing in our life, but we underestimate it! ;)

Internet is, in my opinion, very useful invention(?). It makes peoples lifes easier, e.g. you don’t have to go to the bank to pay some bills, you just sit in front of computer for 3 or 5 minutes.
Internet is nowadays everywhere you are, so communication with others is easier. But remember – you never know who are you talking to ( except situations you know it for sure – GV blog ;)).
