wow,
Slow reader I am. Everyone who knows me know this. But I try hard and… I’ve beaten my record of number of pages read in a day! So far it was about 100 (when I had to finish Krzyzacy for the following day, back in my primary school). Yesterday I read 170 pages, wow. All because I had a 7,5 hour long train journey from Katowice. I bought a book at the station and decided to read it in one go, during the journey. I didn’t manage it. I told you I was a lousy reader, but at least I’ve got my new record to be proud of.

Unlike you, I am quite a fast reader. I can easily manage to read more than a hundred pages in an hour. But the problem is that I tend to skip some important information, which is irritating when, for example, I come asross a name and have no idea who they are. I think there is nothing wrong with reading at your own pace as long as you enjoy it.
So what was the book about?
It was about Poland in the 60ties and about the Party (you know, not ‘a party’ – like where people have fun, but the one-and-only-right-way Party:). Very interseting, actually. By Stefan Kisielewski.
Malwina, yeah I think you’re right, that’s not so bad that I’m a slow reader :)
